Fête de la Nature - BioBlitz and Crawfish Benefit, with FREE music performances by The Lost Bayou Ramblers and Dickie Landry!

Support Atelier de la Nature and join us for a fun family-friendly event to celebrate Acadiana’s special natural surroundings, through art, music, food and science.

This free event will feature performances by the Grammy Award winning Lost Bayou Ramblers and legendary Cecilia born and raised saxophonist Dickie Landry.

Throughout the day scientists will be leading an open-to-the-public BioBlitz to search for every species of bird, reptile, insect, plant, fungus and more living at the Atelier de la Nature!

A benefit crawfish boil will be run by Chef Colt Patin of the Culinary Institute of Baton Rouge and his students. Proceeds will help fund Atelier de la Nature’s youth education programs.

Tickets presale for:
- General Admission: FREE - Please register to attend
- Crawfish Boil (3lbs crawfish + 2 potatoes): $20
- Camping (per tent): $5

Crawfish boil tickets & drinks will also be sold at the event (cash only).

Event schedule:
6-9 am: Birds
9-11 am: Plants & Fungi
11 am - 2 pm: Benefit Crawfish Boil
11 am - 2 pm: Performances by Dickie Landry and the Lost Bayou Ramblers
1-3 pm: Amphibians, Reptiles and Fishes
3-5 pm: Diurnal Insects & Mammals
5-8 pm: Set up tents, dinner break and fire
8 pm – onwards: Nocturnal Insects, Bats, bonfire and camping
Throughout the day: edible insect tasting & cooking demos with students from the Culinary Institute of Baton Rouge
